The artist writes - 'On the face of it, this piece is pretty obvious. A father used to be proud of what he would be leaving behind for his son, but not anymore. When I was at University (many years ago now), I wrote an essay with the suggestion that one day all new plastic and metal production would be banned, meaning that we would have to go back to all the dumps to recycle what had previously been thrown away as trash. In that instance, however far fetched, the owners of the dumps would truly be kings, bringing the original phrase 'One Day My Son, This Will All Be Yours' full circle to its original positive connotation.'
